The specialized exhibition-fair "Vitebshchina - for a healthy lifestyle" will be held from October 22-24

The specialized exhibition-fair "Vitebsk Region for a Healthy Lifestyle - 2009" will be held in the regional center from October 22 to 24 with the participation of industrial enterprises and healthcare facilities, the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry informed a BELTA correspondent. The regional center for hygiene, epidemiology, and public health initiated the consolidation of the potential of medical institutions and manufacturers of goods and services in promoting a healthy lifestyle. The exhibition project was first implemented in 2008, the Year of Health, and its results confirmed the relevance and demand for the event's theme. The main goal of the exhibition is to inform the public about all aspects of a healthy lifestyle and to promote a responsible approach to one's health. The exposition will be formed and exhibition events will be planned taking into account the wishes expressed by visitors last year. Manufacturers from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the Baltic countries have been invited to Vitebsk. The Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is currently forming the list of participants. The theme of the event allows for the presentation of the entire range of products related to a healthy lifestyle, as well as information and educational technologies, and health resort and tourism services. Consultation points will be set up at the exhibition venue in the "Vitebsk" concert hall, where everyone can receive medical recommendations and check their health. Sports competitions, contests, games, and quizzes are planned for the fair guests. The organizers of the "Vitebsk Region for a Healthy Lifestyle - 2009" exhibition-fair are the regional center for hygiene, epidemiology, and public health, and the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the support of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. -0-
