Sports facilities of the European Games in Minsk can be found using a mobile application
Svetlana Demeshko, Deputy Head of the Sports and Tourism Department of the Minsk City Executive Committee, reported that it will feature up-to-date information on sports events and their venues, catering facilities, and a map of transport services for athletes and fans.
"Minsk-Minsk" mobile app is a convenient city guide and directory for tourists, which includes information on cafes, restaurants, entertainment venues, accommodation, attractions, entry and stay regulations, and reference phone numbers.
The program was created with the aim of forming a comfortable information environment for guests and residents, and enhancing the city's tourist attractiveness. It is expected that a special section dedicated to the European Games will be available as early as 2018. It will be easier for visitors to navigate the Belarusian capital.
The pocket guide will show the best routes to various sports facilities. It is also planned to release brochures for foreigners, and tourists will be offered to use the "Minsk Guest Card", which provides a discount system for visiting museums, landmarks, and possibly sports events.
11 sports facilities in the capital, as well as the rowing canal near Zaslavl, will be involved in hosting the II European Games. The opening ceremony of the European Games will take place at the "Dynamo" stadium.
