A sports festival of veteran organizations brought together active elderly people in Vitebsk
About 100 participants gathered in the sports hall of Vitebsk State Medical University. Despite being well over 55, they demonstrated remarkable strength and endurance. Eight teams competed for the title of the best. Pensioners competed in kettlebell lifting, darts, air rifle shooting, bowling, and on the basketball court. The organizers also prepared a humorous relay race, during which the spectators laughed more than they worried about the athletes' success.
— We held such competitions for the first time, — said **Igor Paremsky, director of the Vitebsk city sports club**. — We were pleased with the great interest from the elderly and the intensity of the competition.
