In 2010, the average monthly salary in the Vitebsk region should increase by 15% to Br1.1 million, including up to Br1.3 million in December. To cope with the task, heads of enterprises and organizations must make every effort, emphasized Valery Kupchenko. At the same time, despite meeting the target for wage growth in 2009, the region is also experiencing a negative trend in the increase of enterprises with salaries below $200 in equivalent terms. Over the past year, their number has increased 4 times to 467. According to the Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Oleg Matskevich, it is quite realistic to reach an average salary of $500 by the end of 2010 in the region.
