The rehabilitation period for the "Vitteks" enterprise has been extended by one month

November 6, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. The rehabilitation period for the communal unitary production enterprise "Vitteks" has been extended by one month, the judge of the Economic Court of the Vitebsk region Viktor Shilchenok told a BELTA correspondent following today's court hearing. According to him, this decision will make it possible to implement the measures planned for 2009 under the rehabilitation plan, which include the sale of unused property, the resolution of issues of investment support for the enterprise by the owner, represented by the regional executive committee, and the adoption of a number of other measures for the financial recovery of the bankrupt. In addition, authorized local government bodies must take over the infrastructure facilities of "Vitteks" onto their balance sheets. At the same time, preliminary results of work in the recovery procedure show that "Vitteks" is in a difficult situation, remains unprofitable and does not meet the financial and economic indicators of the rehabilitation plan. In this situation, the Economic Court considered it possible to extend the rehabilitation period only for one month. Based on the results of the implementation of the previously declared measures, a decision on the possibility of further extending the rehabilitation procedure will be made by the crisis manager and the owner of the enterprise, Viktor Shilchenok added. The creditors' meeting petitioned for a 6-month extension of the rehabilitation period, and the crisis manager - for 1 year. The case of economic insolvency (bankruptcy) of UPPE "Vitteks" was initiated by the economic court in December 2007 at the initiative of the enterprise. Upon completion of the bankruptcy proceedings, the enterprise was declared bankrupt with rehabilitation, the rehabilitation period was set at 18 months - until November 2009. As of October 20, 2009, the enterprise's debt in the amount of almost Br2.4 billion was included in the register of creditors' claims, of which more than 70% are debts to the budget and the social protection fund. The main activity of "Vitteks" is the production of ready-made textile products, cotton and other fabrics, knitted fabric, and clothing. About 50 people work at the enterprise. -0-
