In Polotsk, a Staffordshire terrier almost mauled an 85-year-old woman, investigator-criminalist of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office Vladimir Baidanov told a BELTA correspondent. The woman decided to visit her neighbor. The owners were not in the yard, so she entered the house, where she was immediately attacked by a fighting breed dog. By the time the owners ran to her cries and managed to drive away the enraged beast, the terrier had seriously maimed the elderly woman - biting off her arm and injuring her legs. The Polotsk resident was taken to the intensive care unit of the Central City Hospital, her condition is assessed as serious. A check is being carried out on this fact.-0-
