Details of the incident at the "Novopolotsk" branch of JSC "Gomeltransneft Druzhba" have become known

As noted at the enterprise, under the modernization program for tank farms, "Gomeltransneft Druzhba" is carrying out reconstruction work on underground reinforced concrete tank No. 4 with a volume of 30 thousand cubic meters at the "Novopolotsk" branch. According to technical requirements, the facility has been disconnected from the process, cleaned of oil residues, and handed over to a contracting organization (OJSC "SRSU-3 Novopolotsk") on November 1 of this year for the performance of construction and installation work.

"During the roof dismantling work, smoke appeared inside the tank, which was extinguished by the Ministry of Emergency Situations," the OJSC reported.

A check by the Ministry of Emergency Situations with the participation of representatives of the contracting organization is being carried out regarding the incident.
