The names of the winners of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee awards for high creative achievements in culture and art have become known
Unfortunately, their work does not bring great material wealth, but, by common admission, it offers much more – the joy of creativity. More than 9,000 people work in the cultural field of the Vitebsk region, many of whom are worthy of accolades. It is not easy to single out the best among the creative elite, nevertheless, they were identified and received their well-deserved awards.
The ceremony took place in the halls of the regional library and began with the opening of an exhibition of "dozhinki" sheaves and loaves, which were presented at the regional festival of grain growers in Dubrovo. When these items, many of which can rightly be called works of art, were seen in the capital of the current "Dozhynki," it was decided that they were worthy of prestigious exhibition halls. And the library became the first.
The works of folk masters and culinary artists can be viewed for two weeks. And they are truly worth seeing! The most picturesque sheaves were recognized as those from Dubrovo, Braslav, and Vitebsk, and the loaves from Dokshytsy and Glubokoye. Their authors received first-degree diplomas. Winners of the competition for thematic theatrical stages of district and city brands within the framework of "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" were also determined. Among the best are Beshenkovichi, Liozno, and Dubrovo districts, while the Grand Prix was awarded to Polotsk.
The main awards – the regional executive committee prizes for high creative achievements in culture and arts – were presented by the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev.
– I admit that the happiest years for me were my years working in culture, – said Vladimir Vladimirovich, noting that the authorities are trying to provide financial support to this sector.
In particular, he mentioned cultural institutions in Dubrovno that were renovated in preparation for "Dazhynki", the updated art school in Kokhanovo, Tolochin district, which he recently attended for its opening, the reconstruction of the memorial complex in Rossony, and other significant facilities. The head of the regional parliamentary corps expressed special gratitude to the veterans, who occupied the front honorary seats in the hall.
Employees of the sector were awarded with executive committee prizes in eight nominations. Vocalist Alena Papko was recognized as the best philharmonic artist, and Yevgeny Gusev, a member of the Belarusian Puppet Theater "Lyalka" troupe, was named the best theater artist. Inna Shipilo, a teacher at the Novopolotsk Children's Art School named after Ivan Khrutsky, was recognized for her pedagogical achievements. Prizes were also awarded to Elena Zorina, head of the scientific and educational department of the regional museum of local lore, Vera Chashchikhina, head of the cultural and mass events department of the "Vitebsk" Cultural Center, Natalia Sterzhankova, a craftswoman at the Shumilino District House of Crafts, and Natalia Pugacheva, head of the regional library department. Svetlana Zhvikova, director of the Orsha Centralized Library System, was awarded in the nomination "Best Organizer of Paid Services to the Public".
All laureates have distinguished themselves in their fields of activity. For example, Elena Zorina is the author of several educational and social projects, including the regional festival-competition of artistic and decorative applied arts for people with disabilities "Sunny World for All", the social rehabilitation program for cancer patients "Mercy", and various scientific and educational programs and cognitive quests. Yevgeny Gusev created memorable characters on the puppet theater stage, and Natalia Pugacheva prepared several methodological developments for the region's libraries.
A number of cultural workers were awarded with certificates of honor from the executive committee, the regional council, the ministries of culture and education, and commendations from the head of the region. A creative gift for those who know how to create beautiful celebrations was the performance by amateur art groups from the Gorodok district, which is renowned for its talents.
