The leaders of the competitive project “Dazhynachny Snop 2021” in Shumilino have become known

Each district of the Vitebsk region, as part of the regional festival-fair of agricultural workers "Dazhynki – 2021", presented its best sheaf at an exhibition organized in the foyer of the Shumilino House of Culture. The creative approach and imagination of the masters from district houses and centers of crafts were striking. Imagine a sheaf topped with a straw heart. Inside it, woven dolls in national costumes greet everyone: a man holds ears of grain, and a woman holds a loaf of bread. Slightly below, straw figures are dancing in a round dance, as if celebrating their own, doll-like "Dazhynki".

One cannot help but notice the sheaf crowned with a combine harvester, as well as a composition in the form of a huge bouquet of golden ears of grain, decorated with cornflowers and ribbons with national ornamentation. The sheaf topped with an ancient mill also stood out for its originality.

As noted at the Vitebsk Regional Methodological Center for Folk Art, which, together with the culture department of the regional executive committee, acted as the organizer of the competition project, all districts approached the task very creatively, so it was not easy to determine the winner. To do this, guests and participants of the festival, visitors of the exhibition were invited to vote for their favorite composition with a token. In this way, more than 400 people took part in choosing the best sheaf. And I must say, their opinions were not unanimous. As a result, 10 districts celebrated victory at once. These are Braslavsky, Gorodoksky, Dubrovensky, Lioznensky, Miorsky, Polotsky, Postavsky, Rossonsky, Shcharchkovschinsky, and Shumilinsky. All other regions shared second and third place among themselves!
