Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova congratulated on the Day of Belarusian Written Language

Dear friends!

This is a national holiday that holds a place of honor among the most important events in the country's cultural life. Belarusian writing has traversed a great historical path and possesses a centuries-old heritage.

On this day, we pay tribute to the memory of our glorious compatriots – enlighteners Francysk Skaryna, Kiryl Turauski, Euphrosyne of Polotsk, Simeon of Polotsk... It was they who contributed to the development
and popularization of Belarusian traditions, demonstrated our great spiritual strength, and an indomitable aspiration for self-identity. Through the centuries, their wise testaments remain a unique treasure for us.

Written language has enabled the transmission of ideas of good and justice from generation to generation, contributed to the strengthening of moral foundations, the resistance to forces of evil, and the affirmation of universal human values. Thanks to our respected classics, talented
and patriotic youth, we preserve the historical memory of our people, learn to appreciate the main postulates of civilization – honesty, tolerance, respect for the working person, and ardent love
for the Motherland.

The genuine, responsible, strong, and profound native word is a force that consolidates our society for the further prosperity of an independent, sovereign, and beloved Belarus.

May the atmosphere of today's holiday contribute to strengthening the sense of national dignity, mutual understanding among our compatriots, and a continued careful attitude towards the richer spiritual heritage that ensures the unbroken connection of generations.

I sincerely wish everyone strong health, peace, happiness, prosperity, unwavering unity in all noble endeavors, and success
in the best initiatives.
