Startup Meetup

The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus has approved the program of the concluding events of the First International Student Slavic Forum, which will include a Startup Camp with master classes, startup idea contests, and startup debates.

The event will take place on May 21, 2013, at the PSU named after P.M. Masherov with the support of ODO "Vitebsk Business Center". The goals of student participation in the startup camp are: personal and professional growth of students (copywriting, negotiations, presentations), support for small businesses, and improvement of university marketing.

More than 100 students from Belarusian universities have submitted their applications for the startup idea and startup debate contests, which will be held as part of the 1st Startup Camp on May 21 at Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov.

Vitebsk entrepreneurs have an excellent opportunity to become at least spectators of a unique event organized by PSU named after P.M. Masherov and the Vitebsk Business Center. However, it is much more effective for promoting their own business to become a partner, prize donor (for winners), and jury member. The startup movement will receive wide public resonance and will be covered in local and national media, as well as leading business and information resources.

The expected results include increased popularity, an increase in the number and quality of startups, which will serve as a future client base. Employers will also be able to find promising employees, establish useful connections, attend master classes, and ask questions about personal and overall entrepreneurship development.
