Minister of Culture Pavel Latushko believes it is necessary to allocate funds for the construction of cultural facilities in cities that have received the status of cultural capital. He said this at a press conference in Polotsk, answering a question from a BELTA correspondent. In the traditions of the European action "Cultural Capital of Europe", cultural facilities necessary for the residents are built in cities that receive this status. For example, the House of Music was built in Porto. Pavel Latushko believes that it is necessary to plan funds in the republican and local budgets so that new cultural facilities also appear in Belarusian cultural capitals. "However, the main bonus of the cultural capital is that its residents and tourists will have access to the best achievements of national culture," the minister emphasized. -0-
