Rental rates in the Vitebsk region have not changed with the transition to new rental relations

February 2, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. Rental rates under lease agreements for communal property in the Vitebsk region have not undergone significant changes compared to last year's level. These are the results of the January monitoring of rental rate changes, as reported to BELTA correspondent by Svetlana Lukashevich, Deputy Director of the regional territorial fund "Vitebskoblimushchestvo". The rental rate monitoring is carried out in connection with the transition from January 1 to a unified approach to forming rental rates, which is provided for by Decree No. 518 "On Certain Issues of Property Lease and Gratuitous Use". Information on lease agreements re-concluded in January indicates no trend towards an increase in rental rates. Lessors are not showing interest in worsening conditions for tenants and are not striving to significantly increase rates, noted Svetlana Lukashevich. The "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" fund has organized a campaign to explain the new rental relations; seminars with the participation of fund specialists are held, including in district centers. Currently, the process of re-concluding lease agreements is ongoing. During the monitoring, specialists will pay special attention to the process of forming rental rates when leasing trading places at markets and trading facilities in shopping centers, regardless of the property's ownership form. In 2009, the Vitebsk region received over Br12 billion in the budget from leasing communal property. -0-
