December 9, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. A hospitable, stylish, eco-friendly agro-estate advocating a healthy lifestyle will be chosen in the Vitebsk region. The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, together with OJSC "Belagroprombank" and the public association "Rest in the Village," has announced the regional competition "Best Agro-Estate of the Year of the Vitebsk Region," as reported to a BELTA correspondent by Konstantin Vogulkin, Deputy Head of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Regional Executive Committee.
The winners will be determined in five nominations: preservation of Belarusian traditions, healthy lifestyle, hospitality, green estate, style and harmony. In addition to descriptive materials, electronic presentations, and advertising brochures, nominees will also need to provide documents confirming the quantitative indicators of their work. Throughout January, the competition jury members will familiarize themselves with the work of the contenders for the title of the best agro-estate.
The competition results are expected to be announced in early February 2010. Winners will receive diplomas, prizes from sponsors, and participation in a similar republican competition. According to Konstantin Vogulkin, more than 200 agro-ecotourism entities are currently registered in the region, including peasant farms and individuals engaged in tourism services. -0-
