This was announced today at a press conference by the General Director of the Vitebsk Culture Center, Rodion Bass, reports a BELTA correspondent. Tickets for the opening and closing concerts of the festival will be more expensive. According to the general director, their cost will remain at last year's level and will be Br350 thousand and Br200 thousand, respectively, which is due to the scale of the events. A total of Br4.5 billion is planned to be raised from ticket sales for the festival's concert events. Last year, the plan was Br5.3 billion. "However, it was not achieved due to the high cost of tickets, as a result of which the hall occupancy for some concerts ranged from 18% to 60%. Therefore, this year it was decided to change the pricing policy downwards," said Rodion Bass. The XIX International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held from July 9 to 15. Its program will include events at the Summer Amphitheater venue: opening and closing concerts, Days of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, the city of Moscow, a concert of the Union State's art masters, the international competition of pop song performers "Vitebsk-2010", and solo concerts of pop stars. New elements of the festival's concert program will be three concerts for young people at an additional concert venue on Victory Square. -0-
