Builders of the Vitebsk region are ready to complete work on problematic sites by the end of this year

Builders of the Vitebsk region are ready to complete work on facilities with delayed construction deadlines by the end of this year. This was announced to journalists during a visit to construction sites of residential buildings with a high degree of readiness in Vitebsk by Alexander Solntsev, Deputy General Director of RUP "Glavgosstroyexpertiza", a member of the working group on problematic issues in the construction industry under the Presidential Administration, reports a correspondent of BELTA.

Representatives of the working group visited six housing construction sites in the regional center, which contractors promise to commission in August-November this year. "These facilities are being built by different contractors, they have their own approaches to organizing work, but everywhere there is a good backlog, a huge amount of work has already been done to eliminate problems, contractors have a great desire and all the opportunities to complete the work in the near future," emphasized Alexander Solntsev. But at the same time, he noted that any disruption in funding or shortcomings in the work of contracting organizations will cause a failure to meet the deadlines for commissioning residential buildings.

The specialist noted that there are many positive aspects in the Vitebsk region. "At the facility, which is planned to be commissioned this month, a huge amount of landscaping work has already been completed. In other regions, the pace of this work significantly lags behind construction. Attention to issues such as elevator accessibility and convenience of ramps also deserves high praise. One of the long-term construction projects in Vitebsk is being built using the so-called "permanent formwork" technology. This type of construction is not widespread in the republic. The contractor was not afraid to take on experimental construction, gaining a lot of experience in this process. But, nevertheless, he intends to continue working with this technology, improving and adapting it to our conditions. Such experience can be useful for other regions of the country, because it results in housing of increased comfort with high consumer qualities," stated Alexander Solntsev.
