The OMA construction hypermarket is planned to open in Vitebsk in the autumn of 2022
To implement the project, OOO "Oma" has concluded an investment agreement with the regional executive committee, under the terms of which the company undertakes to allocate about 16 million rubles for the construction of the shopping center. The investor has been allocated a land plot of 2.4 hectares. According to Gennady Mikheev, Deputy Head of the Company Development Department, the total area of the facility will be almost 8 thousand square meters, including about 5.6 thousand square meters of retail space. It is designed to serve an average of about 4 thousand people per day. An important element of the hypermarket will be an outdoor pavilion "Garden Center" attached to the indoor hall. Its share in the total retail area of the store will be about 20%. It will offer everything necessary for growing and landscaping gardens in dachas and individual residential areas, including related goods and small architectural forms.
The main facade of the building, facing the multi-story buildings on Voïnov-Internatsionalistov Street, will be made using aluminum cassettes with square and triangular perforation, which will allow for an original lighting system for the facility. Investors expect that the hypermarket will organically fit into the existing urban landscape and become a decoration of this part of Vitebsk. The center will include two administrative and service blocks for staff, and some premises are planned to be leased. A parking lot for 310 parking spaces will be organized nearby, including for people with disabilities.
The city executive committee has organized a public discussion of the architectural and planning concept of the project, which will last until February 19. Investors expect to start construction work on the land plot in the autumn of 2021.
