Construction of the Palace of Ceremonies will begin in Vitebsk in 2013
The investment program of Vitebsk for 2013 includes 47 facilities and is estimated at Br98 billion. The deputies of the City Council approved the investment program at today's session, a BELTA correspondent reports.
The program is designed to effectively and rationally use the city budget funds allocated for investment in fixed assets. It includes facilities for which design, construction, modernization, and reconstruction will begin in 2013 using funds from the city budget and other sources of financing. The construction of the Palace of Ceremonies is among these facilities. Unfortunately, in the regional center, the city registry office, where solemn marriage registration takes place, is still cramped in an adapted room on the first floor of a residential building. The program also includes the reconstruction with restoration of three architectural monuments, the reconstruction of healthcare facilities, the construction of new apartments for citizens whose housing is recognized as dilapidated and unfit for habitation, and the improvement of urban areas.
In total, over Br58 billion of the funds provided for by the program are allocated to public utilities, over Br13 billion - to the renovation of architectural monuments, and Br15 billion - to the reconstruction of two healthcare facilities.
