The construction of the sports and recreation complex "Yunost" in Ushachi is planned to be completed in 2017
A 25-meter swimming pool with four lanes, a transformer game hall, halls for wrestling, fitness, a gym, a hotel for 27 people, and a cafe for 30 people – all this will allow for large-scale competitions, attract athletes and tourists from other regions, and possibly from abroad.
There will even be a kind of kindergarten where children can be left under the supervision of educators while mom, dad, and older children play football, attend classes, or swim in the pool. The project also includes the construction of a new water intake facility that will provide both "Yunost" and Ushachi with clean water. About 50 new jobs will be created.
The construction of this significant social facility, costing 140 billion rubles (before denomination), is included in the investment program of the Vitebsk region and is financed from the republican, regional, and district budgets.
– Currently, the facility's readiness is approximately 70%, – said Alexander Losev, Head of the District Capital Construction Department. – All underground utility networks are ready, the building has been erected, the modular gas boiler house has been installed, the transformer substation is connected to the urban settlement's power supply system, and landscaping is nearing completion.
Every day, 80 to 100 builders from the general contractor – "Polotskselstroy" trust, as well as from subcontracting and specialized organizations from Ushachi, Sharkovshchina, Glubokoe, Polotsk, and other districts, Vitebsk, and Minsk – are working here. To expand the services that the sports and recreation complex will offer, the design and estimate documentation is currently being adjusted. For example, special playrooms for young children will appear.
The completion of construction is scheduled for next year. The residents of Ushachi hope that their sports and recreation complex will be included in the republican investment program for 2017. Over time, it is expected that around it
will be built open sports playgrounds, a tennis court, etc.– Practice has shown that such complexes, especially with a swimming pool, are in high demand and popular.
