The construction of an inter-district medical center in Miory is planned to begin this year
"The preparation of the business plan is in its final stage. Construction is planned to begin this year after all necessary expert reviews," noted Yuri Derkach.
A territory near the new central district hospital has been allocated in the Vitebsk region for the project, which is being implemented on the basis of public-private partnership. The medical institution will include inpatient, neurological, cardiology, reception, diagnostic, radiological, and laboratory departments, as well as emergency care, vascular surgery, X-ray rooms, an operating unit, a helipad, engineering, and other services. In addition, the complex will include diagnostic units in Postavy, Sharkovshchina, Verkhnedvinsk, Braslav, and Glubokoye districts, where local residents will be examined and subsequently referred for treatment to the medical center.
The center is planned to be created without the involvement of state resources, solely through the investments of German partners. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that all activities of the medical institution will be based on German technologies and will undergo the necessary European certification. This will allow for the active development of medical services export. At the same time, Belarusians will be able to receive high-tech medical services here at a cost calculated according to local standards, while foreign citizens will pay through their country's insurance.
The cost of the project is about 50 million euros. The implementation period according to the business plan is three years.
