Строительство поликлиники на Юг-7 в Витебске подходит к завершению, в январе 2019 года поступит медоборудование
Construction and finishing work is nearing completion at the polyclinic being built in the Yug-7 microdistrict of Vitebsk. Representatives of OAO "Stroitelny Trest No. 9, Vitebsk" shared what remains to be done and when the new healthcare facility will receive its first patients during a working meeting with the head of the city, Viktor Nikolaikin.

By December 22, builders plan to complete the interior finishing of offices and corridors and rectify any shortcomings identified by the specialists who will work in this building. By the specified date, all medical offices must be ready for equipment installation, as emphasized by the chairman of the city executive committee. In addition, Viktor Nikolaikin, upon visiting the site, noted his satisfaction with the construction progress: the polyclinic is already heated, all utilities are functioning smoothly, and out of the nine floors, including the basement, only the second floor is still under finalization, with a technical opening left in the building's facade for the loading of large-sized medical equipment.

Yuri Balashkov, Chief Engineer of OAO "Stroitelny Trest No. 9, Vitebsk," stated that construction is proceeding slightly ahead of schedule due to rhythmic financing and the absence of delays in the supply of building materials.

To meet the set deadlines, construction work had to be accelerated starting from early 2018.

Instead of two, three tower cranes were used simultaneously for the construction of several buildings.

Approximately 300 people worked in three shifts, six days a week, and after the facade was completed, also on Sundays, focusing on interior finishing. Currently, there are just over 160 construction workers on site. The landscaping of the adjacent territory has already been completed, and a small fountain adorns the cozy courtyard.

In January of next year, informed Stanislav Titovich, chief physician of the Vitebsk City Polyclinic, the equipment delivery will be completed, and in February, specialists will carry out its setup. By that time, new offices will be prepared for operation so that by the end of the first quarter of 2019, the healthcare institution will be able to receive its first patients.

Viktor Nikolaykin emphasized that this facility is significant for the city.

– This is a full-fledged polyclinic complex that will serve residents of nearby microdistricts, and since the healthcare institution is the city's central polyclinic, Vitebsk residents can be referred here for diagnostic examinations, – he said. – Modern equipment will function here, some of which has been purchased abroad. For example, the tomograph was bought in Japan, while the mammograph and some other equipment are of domestic production.

This will be the first city polyclinic in the country to perform CT scans

In Vitebsk, the polyclinic's computed tomography scanner will be the fifth; previously, they were installed in major hospitals and the diagnostic center.

The healthcare institution is designed for 1500 visits per shift. In addition to general practitioner's offices, it will house dental services, including surgical dentistry, pediatric and physiotherapy departments, as well as a women's health clinic and a pool for rehabilitation water procedures. The second floor will be allocated for diagnostic examinations: X-ray, ECG, ultrasound, etc.

Medical professionals will be able to conduct various conferences and training sessions in a spacious assembly hall, which will promote scientific integration and make the polyclinic an attractive base for healthcare specialists to exchange best practices.

For future medical professionals, study rooms and resident rooms are provided here. For the convenience of patients, electronic queue registration will be available alongside traditional in-person and telephone registration at the reception.

Viktor Nikolaikin also noted that the construction of this facility has another positive aspect: the second and third city polyclinics, as well as the regional children's clinical center, will be less burdened. Residents of the Bilevo, Yug, and Medtsentr microdistricts will be able to receive medical care and specialist consultations in more comfortable conditions.
