The construction of a gymnasium for trampolinists will begin in Vitebsk in 2018
The fact that Vitebsk is training strong trampolinists is already known worldwide. A graduate of the local school, Vladislav Goncharov, became an Olympic champion in trampoline jumping in 2016 and consistently confirms his high level at various international competitions. However, the city lacks a specialized hall for trampoline training, and athletes train at Secondary School No. 45. Vitebsk residents consider this unfair and raise this issue at various levels. The personal reception of citizens by the governor was no exception.
"A decision has already been made to build a specialized sports hall for trampolinists in Vitebsk. Project documentation is being prepared. The construction of the sports facility will begin in 2018 on Pobedy Avenue. A good base will be created for established and aspiring athletes. Moreover, this facility will become a real decoration of the city," the governor assured.
Another issue raised during the reception was the queues for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations. The head of the region announced that the acquisition of another MRI machine for Vitebsk is planned for 2018. This is provided for by the state program "People's Health and Demographic Security of the Republic of Belarus" for 2016-2020. "Health protection should be given very serious attention. This is the concern not only of the authorities but also of each individual," noted Nikolai Sherstnev.
The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee also familiarized himself with the production of Vitebsk Carpets OJSC. The head of the region was informed about the state of affairs and the development plans of the enterprise.
