The construction of three kindergartens in the Vitebsk region will be completed in 2023
"There are 496 educational institutions operating in the Vitebsk region, which provide conditions for children to receive preschool and special education at the preschool level. They are attended by 43.1 thousand children. 96.1% of children are provided with places in preschool educational institutions, with a standard of 85%," the regional executive committee reported.
New preschool educational institutions will also be commissioned this year. Kindergartens for 200 places will be completed in the "Aeroport" microdistrict in Polotsk and in Miory. In Vitebsk, a large-scale project for the construction of a preschool educational institution, which will be combined with a primary school block, will be completed. The kindergarten is being built in the densely populated "Bilevo-3" microdistrict. Its construction began in July 2021. The combined kindergarten is designed for 850 places, of which 290 will be allocated for younger students. The preschool institution will be located in three four-story buildings, and according to the plan, it will have its own swimming pool, medical unit, sports and playgrounds, and a library.
Three more new kindergartens will begin construction this year in Lepel (for 230 places), Novopolotsk (200 places), and Vitebsk (250 places, "Bilevo" microdistrict). The construction of two family-type children's homes in Polotsk and the urban settlement of Beshenkovichi is also planned.
More than Br45 million was used in 2022 to strengthen the material and technical base of educational institutions in the northern region.
