The kindergarten under construction became a competition venue for Vitebsk's best bricklayers

April 18, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. A kindergarten in a new residential area of Vitebsk has become a competition venue for the city's best bricklayers. The first city competition for professional skills has started at this facility, the Department for Youth Affairs and Defense and Mobilization Work of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee informed BELTA correspondent. The competition was organized by the city executive committee and OJSC "Stroy-trust No. 9". The main goal of the competition is to enhance the prestige of the construction profession and promote advanced forms and methods of work. It is no coincidence that a kindergarten under construction for 230 places in the new Bilevo residential area was chosen as the venue for the competition. "Young families, who mainly inhabit the microdistrict, are eagerly awaiting this facility. And since it will be built by super-professionals, there will be no doubt about the quality of the new building," the city executive committee is confident. 24 best bricklayers from nine construction organizations in the city are taking part in the competition. The youngest participant will turn 19 this year. For 11 days, they will be building brick walls for the kindergarten. The daily norm is 2.98 cubic meters of wall, but, according to the organizers, the masters of the trowel will easily cope with this task and even exceed it. Meeting the norm by the contestants is one of the evaluation criteria, as is exceeding it, however, no less points will be awarded for the quality of work and compliance with safety regulations. The winners will be announced based on the results of the competition. For first place, the team will receive a prize of Br1 million. Slightly smaller prizes await the winners of second and third place. Results will also be summarized in individual standings, based on which cash prizes will also be awarded. In addition, valuable prizes from the city executive committee have been prepared for the participants and winners. -0-
