The stages of "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk-2020" will be the city's squares and streets
The main stage, of course, is the Summer Amphitheater, which can accommodate over six thousand spectators. Seven concerts are planned here, featuring famous Belarusian, Russian, and foreign artists, as well as the international pop song performers' competition. The children's singing competition will be held on a new stage near the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall. This year, young artists from 16 countries will be performing there.
The stage in front of the Concert Hall will also host the final of the dance project Dream Dance Fest, where 12 teams from 11 cities of the country will compete for the title of the best. Here, young Belarusian artists will present their debut program Promofest Top Artist. The open-air venue will also host "Star Hours" – press conferences with famous artists, which citizens can attend.
The mobile concert complex near the Concert Hall is the second one in the festival capital; the first has long been established on Victory Square and has become a popular meeting place for creative youth. The renovated Freedom Square awaits folk art enthusiasts. It will host an open tournament of national dances, the regional competition of folk music and chastushki "And the Music Plays, Plays...", and performances by creative groups. One of Vitebsk's oldest squares will also be a venue for presenting brands of cities and districts of the region.
The street art festival "On Seven Winds," beloved by residents and guests of the forum, will share Vitebsk's historical center with folk craftsmen. The City of Masters will open on Pushkin and Tolstoy streets, featuring an open competition of traditional and modern artistic painting "Colors of the Sky," and performances by musicians, poets, and theater groups.
Artists will present the traditional exhibition-sale "Vitebsk Vernissage" on Suvorov and Tolstoy streets.
The "Zadzvinskі kіrmaš" fair will be located near the Cultural and Historical Complex "Golden Ring of Vitebsk "Dvina" – from Kirov Bridge along Ilyinsky and Tchaikovsky Streets. The Belarusian Brand Day and the forum "Folklore and Folklorism in Modern Belarusian Art" will take place on the territory of the complex.
The courtyards of cultural institutions will also become stage venues. For example, the regional review-competition of game programs "Veselkovy karagod" and evening musical concerts will be held at the local history museum. The symphony orchestra, the song and dance ensemble "Talaka", the balalaika octet "Vitebsk Virtuosos", and soloists of the philharmonic will perform in the courtyard of the regional philharmonic. The "Puppet Quarter" will also move outdoors – performances will be shown in front of the Belarusian Theater "Lyalka".
The "Chytayuchy gorad" (Reading City) library venue will be located in the square near the regional library, and the interactive "Soldiers' Life" – with the participation of military-historical reconstruction clubs – on the territory of the museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union Minay Shmeryov.
"Musical Meetings in the Old Park" will invite lovers of melodies and dances of past years to Frunze Park. And in Mazurino, the Color Fest Family Recreation Day will be held.
Even the sky over Vitebsk will become a festival venue. Residents and guests of the city can take part in setting the record for "Slavianski Bazaar – 2020" – by taking photos against the backdrop of clouds, the moon, the sun, balloons, or fireworks.
