On the first day of the new academic year, children, students, and adult residents of Vitebsk received a significant gift.
Hundreds of citizens, young and old, gathered in the square.
Children immediately tested the new playground equipment, installed on a special anti-trauma surface.
The outdoor cinema is showing its first film, and the food court area is open.
As darkness falls, the square will be illuminated.
"The pilot experimental initiative was proposed by students of Vitebsk universities," noted the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, who took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. "They designed everything, and the city brought it to life. If such a facility takes root in this location, we will build similar ones at other educational institutions, in other parts of the city – to make it cozier and more beautiful."
