Activists of the student trade union committee and the primary organization of the BRSM of Vitebsk State Medical University, employees of the educational department, and the Vice-Rector for Educational and Ideological Work Olga Syrodoeva took part in the two-day “Star March”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

The starting point of the route was the monument to the Komsomol underground fighters of the Zheleznodorozhny district. A rally with the laying of flowers was held near it. To the station Zaluchye, the participants of the “Star March” traveled by diesel train, where the young people also laid flowers at the monument to the fallen soldiers, honoring their memory with a minute of silence, and continued the march through the places of military glory to the mass grave in the village of Losvido. Eyewitnesses and participants of the heroic events came to talk about those distant military battles: veterans Ivan Asablyvy and Arkady Bochkov.

The participants also coped with the next task of the march with “flying colors”: a small tent city sprang up on the shore of Lake Losvido. The masters of field cuisine did not disappoint: the porridge was excellent! According to the results of the competition programs, the student trade union committee team won the challenge cup.

All participants of the “Star March” are grateful for the assistance provided in organizing and conducting by the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the Healthcare Workers' Trade Union and personally to its chairman Vladislav Muzhichenko.
