Students from the Vitebsk region will take part in the preparation of Gorodok for "Dazhynki" and the construction of the Belarusian NPP

Студенты Витебской области примут участие в подготовке Городка к «Дажынкам» и строительстве белорусской АЭС
During the main work semester, it is planned to organize the activities of construction crews. Some of them, as last year, will be engaged in the reconstruction and improvement of dairy farms and construction sites in the region. The guys will also take part in the preparation of the Town for the festival-fair of rural workers "Dazhynki-2014".

Where to earn extra money in the summer? Many pupils and students are already asking themselves this question today. I also became interested in what employment opportunities Vitebsk can offer during free time from studies.

To begin with, I decided to look for an answer to this question on the Internet. After studying all sorts of websites with current vacancies in the Vitebsk region, I came to the conclusion that among the most frequently offered jobs that do not require specific professional skills are poster placers, text entry operators, distributors of advertising leaflets and newspapers, couriers, promoters, freelancers, etc. So, if you want to, you can find a job, of course, right now. The only question is whether the final result will meet expectations.

Based on my own experience and stories from acquaintances, young people who are looking for work on the Internet often encounter dishonest employers who do not consider it necessary to pay wages to their temporary employees. Therefore, in order not to get into trouble, it is better to immediately contact a conscientious employer. In this regard, a proven and reliable way is the Vitebsk Regional Headquarters of Student Brigades of the BRSM, which has been helping young people find decent jobs for many years. The search for vacancies and the formation of student brigades are in full swing here. In 2014, the main emphasis is on expanding the geography of field detachments, which provides an opportunity not only to earn well but also to immerse yourself in a wonderful atmosphere of joint work and rest.

In 2013 alone, 15,101 people worked in student teams, including minors. 329 young people worked outside the republic, and 1,191 were employed individually. After the main work semester, in the autumn, 44 agricultural teams (1,141 people), 3 ecological teams (29 people), and a construction team (22 people) were organized in the Vitebsk region, with 241 people employed individually. Additionally, 2 service teams have been working at the Orsha Canned Food Plant since December 2013: after classes, students from the local vocational college are involved in equipping and packaging jars for baby food. Thus, about 1,500 representatives of the next generation are involved in year-round employment.

– Currently, we have over 200 employment sites for young people during the summer, offering 10,000 jobs, – notes Yulia Butor, First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM. – During the main work semester, it is planned to organize the activities of construction teams. Some of them, as last year, will be engaged in the reconstruction and improvement of dairy farms and construction sites in the region. Young people will also participate in the preparation of Gorodok for the rural workers' festival-fair "Dazhynki-2014".

In addition, the organization of a republican youth construction project at the sites of the Belarusian NPP in the Grodno region is planned, where consolidated teams from all regional centers will work. A construction team is already being formed to participate in the All-Russian construction project.

«Bovanenkovo-2014» in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug of the Russian Federation. The plans include further development of cooperation and an increase in the number of Belarusian-Russian student teams. These and other points were discussed at the republican seminar on organizing secondary employment for youth, which took place in mid-February at Polotsk State University. Among the honored guests of the event were representatives of the All-Russian Public Organization of the Russian Student Teams.

In addition to construction teams, pedagogical, environmental, agricultural, and service teams will be created. So, in the summer, young people will be able to work, for example, as conductors on Russian Railways trains or as counselors in children's health camps in the Krasnodar Krai.

To join construction teams, it is enough to contact the labor affairs headquarters at your place of study. Pedagogical teams are formed from students of relevant specialties. Service, environmental, and agricultural teams are available to almost everyone. More details can be found at the labor affairs headquarters of the educational institution. When applying to the headquarters, you may encounter the need to pass a competition to join a team; in such cases, preference may be given to last year's participants or those who applied earlier than others. So, if you want to spend your summer productively, you need to start addressing this issue now.
