Vitebsk region student detachments have started work in the new labor semester

Among them is the service squad "Magistral" consisting of eight students from the Vitebsk Industrial-Pedagogical College. The guys are working as cooks, waiters, and kitchen staff at the children's health resort of the same name, run by the Vitebsk branch of Belarusian Railway.

For the squad leader Nikita Rybakov, a 3rd-year student majoring in "Food Production and Public Catering Organization," this is not his first experience working at the camp. Last year, the young man worked here as a waiter.

– I am a supporter of student work crews, – admitted Nikita. – In my opinion, it is an excellent school of life, which thousands of young people go through annually. As a leader, I am the link between students and management: I keep track of working hours and help resolve organizational issues. I joined the squad because I have plans that require money to implement.

Viktoria Krishtafovich, First Secretary of the October District Committee of the BRSM in Vitebsk, is convinced that summer employment for youth is a powerful social platform where young people hone their professional skills and abilities. It is an opportunity to practice solving problems that a young specialist will face upon starting their first job.

By the way, student work crews operate not only during the summer but also year-round. Applications are submitted to the territorial committees of the BRSM and the labor affairs headquarters of the primary BRSM organizations of educational institutions.
