Student detachments of the Vitebsk region are strengthening cooperation with the Beloyarsky district of Russia

Student detachments of the Vitebsk region are strengthening cooperation with the Beloyarsky district of Russia, the regional committee of the BRSM reported.

"Last year, for the first time, our student detachment went to work in the Beloyarsky district of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra. This was one of the results of the agreement on establishing sister city relations between Vitebsk and the Beloyarsky district, signed in 2016. Then the guys were involved in the construction of a residential building. The Russian employer took notice of them, and this year, from July 1 to August 30, 14 fighters of the "Ermak" construction detachment named after Baghramyan worked in the district center itself. With their work, they confirmed that we are focused on long-term, not one-off cooperation. And the acknowledgments that the detachment received from the customer and the district administration proved the interest in the same from our partners," said Victoria Kuzheleva, commissioner of the Vitebsk regional headquarters of student detachments.

As explained by the commander of the "Ermak" detachment, Evgeny Dyatlovsky, his guys, students of Vitebsk construction colleges, were engaged in landscaping the embankment. They poured concrete for a platform for mass events and installed a stage.

"This time, there were only three people from last year's team in the detachment. I also came for the second time and can say that we were received even better than before. In addition, we were able to visit children from the "Miloserdie" complex center, spent a lot of time with them, and gave gifts from Vitebsk. And during breaks between work, we participated in friendly football, volleyball, and streetball matches with teams from Beloyarsky. Next year, they are waiting for us here again - and it doesn't matter on which objects," said Evgeny Dyatlovsky.

In total, during the current work semester, 124 young people from the Vitebsk region were able to work outside of Belarus as part of student detachments. The majority went to the Krasnodar Territory, where for the fifth year in a row, Belarusians are gladly involved in the work of the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok".
