The beginning of 2018 was significant for the healthcare system of the Ushachy region in many ways. The district polyclinic officially opened a new X-ray room – with good repairs and modern equipment.

Money for the arrangement of the X-ray room – over 150 thousand rubles – was allocated from the regional budget. And a new stationary digital X-ray apparatus "Uniexpert 3 plus" costing about 250 thousand rubles was obtained through centralized procurement by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.

As explained by Sergey Moiseev, chief physician of the Ushachy Central District Hospital, with the help of such equipment, X-ray examination of bones, chest organs and abdominal cavity, spine, joints, and teeth can be performed.

In real-time, under X-ray beams, a scopic examination of the esophagus, stomach, as well as irrigoscopy of the intestine can be performed. The apparatus also allows for tomography.

“In fact, this is the best apparatus in its class in the republic,” noted Sergey Anatolyevich. – Not all healthcare institutions, even at the regional level, can boast of such a thing.”

However, the opening of a modern X-ray room is not the only significant step taken by the Ushachy Central District Hospital towards modernization. A major technological re-equipment took place last year in the ultrasound diagnostics room. A fetal monitor for comprehensive diagnosis of the fetus's condition and the future mother's body has been installed in the women's consultation. The cost of such equipment is about 60 thousand rubles.

In December, as many as three modern dental treatment units were purchased.

A colonoscope, rectoscope, and fiber gastroscope have been installed in the endoscopic room. The technological equipment of the room is complemented by the recent arrival of an experienced endoscopist.

The departments of emergency medical care, anesthesia, resuscitation, and intensive care have not been overlooked – three new ECG machines have appeared there.

The registration and physiotherapy departments have been updated. 290 thousand rubles were allocated for their renovation, 60 of which were spent on the purchase of medical equipment and furniture.

Changes have also affected the catering unit, where new stoves and a refrigeration system have been installed. Professional pans, frying cabinets, sinks, and equipment for processing meat and vegetables have been purchased. This year, renovation is planned here and in the centralized sterilization department.

The territory around the hospital has also become more beautiful recently – old plantings have been removed, and the fence has been partially replaced. And maintaining cleanliness around the institution and caring for flower beds has become a good tradition.

The innovations of the institution were personally familiarized with by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Andreichenko, who took part in the grand opening of the X-ray room.

— I am sure that the medical staff will work in extremely comfortable conditions, and patients will also appreciate what has been done, – emphasized Vladimir Pavlovich. – On my own behalf, I can note that the funding for such an important sector as healthcare will not be reduced this year. Moreover, we have agreed with Sergey Anatolyevich to allocate additional funds to the hospital for improvement. In 2018, I believe, all repair, construction, and other works in the Central District Hospital will be completed.
