'Child of Peace' certificates to be awarded to 46 newborns in Vitebsk region

Parents of 46 newborns in the Vitebsk region will receive "Child of Peace" certificates. This was announced by the chairperson of the regional branch of the Belarusian Peace Foundation, Tatyana Tumanova, during the reporting and election conference in Vitebsk, which summed up the five-year activities of the public organization.

The honorary title is traditionally awarded to babies born on September 21, International Day of Peace. The corresponding certificates will be solemnly presented to their parents on Mother's Day.

This initiative of the Vitebsk regional branch of the Belarusian Peace Foundation is a good tradition of the peace movement in the region and has become recognizable among local residents.

It is gratifying to note that the number of such babies born increases every year. If three years ago only 21 children received the "Child of Peace" certificate, then recently the number is approaching fifty.
