Vitebsk is looking for its Timur Bekmambetov

October 29, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Vitebsk is looking for its own Timur Bekmambetov and Guy Ritchie. The regional Cinema House has announced a competition for the creation of amateur social advertising videos, Elena Zavadovskaya, chief director of the Cinema House, told a BELTA correspondent. As is known, many extraordinary contemporary film directors began their careers in advertising: Timur Bekmambetov, Ridley Scott, David Fincher, Guy Ritchie. And now, for the second time, the Cinema House invites creative video enthusiasts to try themselves in the role of one of them and present their creative work for the jury's consideration. Participants in the competition are not limited in theme or genre. Videos on moral and ethical issues, environmental protection, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle can be boldly submitted by young and not-so-young directors. The organizers of the competition also do not impose any age requirements on the participants. The winners of the competition will be announced on November 19, and the winning video will also be broadcast on a local TV channel. This year's "Attention, Motor!" competition, like last year's, is timed to coincide with the XVI Minsk International Film Festival "Listapad," which will be held from November 14 to 21. During these same days, many interesting events dedicated to the promotion of domestic cinema are planned in Vitebsk cinemas. Vitebsk audiences will also see the Belarusian films "Insight" and "Sniper," which are participating in the competition. The creative team of "Insight" will meet with viewers in Vitebsk on November 17. The Vitebsk public will also be able to appreciate the Russian premiere - the film "Tsar," which will open the screenings at the Minsk film festival. -0-
