Over 2,000 agricultural workers in the Vitebsk region were held accountable in 2010

March 29, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Over 2,000 employees of the agro-industrial complex system in the Vitebsk region were held accountable in various ways in 2010 for violating legislation. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Svetlana Zaitseva, senior prosecutor of the department for supervision of legislation enforcement and legality of legal acts of the Vitebsk region prosecutor's office. According to the results of prosecutor's inspections last year, 745 managers and employees of the AIC system were brought to disciplinary responsibility, 255 people to administrative responsibility, and 1.3 thousand individuals and legal entities to material responsibility. Br7.6 billion was recovered from the latter out of court. In addition, in order to protect the property interests of agricultural enterprises, prosecutors filed 35 lawsuits with the economic courts for the recovery of Br2.3 billion. Analysis of the inspection results showed that violations of labor and production discipline, unproductive losses due to theft and other illegal actions, and livestock deaths due to negligent attitude of employees to their official duties are still common in the agricultural sector of the region. There are not isolated cases of corruption on the part of the management of AIC enterprises, and cases of theft of grain and livestock. The weak security of agricultural facilities and inadequate control over the work of security guards largely contribute to the commission of illegal acts, Svetlana Zaitseva noted. For example, at the time of the inspection, in one of the farms in the Gorodok district, the watchman was absent from the machine yard, and there was free access for unauthorized persons. In one of the cooperatives in the Sennensky district, the territory of the machine yard was not properly fenced and was partially overgrown with dense bushes. In a farm in the Braslav district, harvested hay and straw were stored in dilapidated premises. At an agricultural enterprise in the Chashniksky district, disassembled and accounted for parts and components from decommissioned equipment were not timely delivered to the warehouse. -0-
