Over 2.5 thousand events were held during the "Our Children" campaign in the Vitebsk region
On December 9, the event kicked off in the region's educational institutions with flash mobs, during which students recorded New Year's videos and had photo sessions for their institutions' websites. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by themed photo zones, exhibitions of snowmen, New Year trees made from improvised materials, Snow Maidens, and other New Year's attributes. In 14 regions of the area, Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost) residences were organized, and in the Gorodok district, Snegurochka (Snow Maiden) residences were set up.
Numerous festive events took place in the region's kindergartens and schools during these days. Representatives of republican, regional, and district authorities, as well as heads of ministries and departments, visited children's boarding institutions and family-type children's homes with gifts and congratulations.
A total of about 800 educational institutions in the region participated in the event's activities. The largest events were held in Vitebsk on the eve of the New Year. Specifically, 950 children attended the governor's Christmas tree at the "Vitebsk" concert hall, over 100 children with psychophysical development disorders attended an inclusive celebration at the Vitebsk Regional Palace of Children and Youth, and 300 young people gathered for the region's first-ever New Year's ball for students. These events were held with the participation of the leadership of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. Public associations also joined the initiative.
The charity marathon, held under the patronage of Alexander Lukashenko, will conclude on January 10. "Every year, it instills faith in goodness and miracles in thousands of children, making their faces shine with joy and happiness. For adults, it offers the opportunity to feel like real magicians. That is why more and more people are joining the event each year," the department emphasized.
