Over 40 investment project implementation agreements signed at the international business forum in Vitebsk

More than 40 agreements and contracts on trade and economic cooperation and the implementation of specific projects between cities, districts of the Vitebsk region and foreign partners were signed during the International Business Forum "Investment Initiatives of the Vitebsk Region", which opened today in Vitebsk, BELTA correspondent reports. A significant part of the agreements provides for the implementation of real business projects. In particular, the Polotsk City Executive Committee concluded an agreement with a businessman from the sister city of Elektrostal (Russian Federation) on the construction of a business center. The joint Anglo-Estonian-Belarusian enterprise "Iklon-Invest" intends to implement three investment projects in Orsha. An agreement on this was signed at the business forum. The Vitebsk District Executive Committee is starting cooperation with the German company "Bioenergie -Import-Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH & Co." on the construction of a rapeseed processing plant with a total investment volume of 15 million euros. The Vitebsk City Executive Committee and the Russian company "Amax Grand Hotels" LLC signed a memorandum of intent to create a modern tourist hotel complex on the basis of the "Vitebsk" hotel. The international investment forum attracted the attention of foreign guests from almost 20 countries. City and district administrations, enterprises and organizations of various forms of ownership of the Vitebsk region presented 150 investment projects in various fields, with a total investment volume of over Br1 billion. On March 20, forum participants will continue to familiarize themselves with the economic potential of the Vitebsk region and get acquainted with the work of existing foreign and joint enterprises. -0-
