Veterans in Belarus, war participants, are surrounded by filial care
May 9, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The state's care for Great Patriotic War veterans can be compared to a good son's attention to his elderly parents, said Great Patriotic War participant Elena Semenovna Khasenzhanova, receiving congratulations from a BELTA correspondent today.
On the eve of the 65th anniversary of Victory, the combat nurse received a social housing order from the state. "The apartment has all amenities, in a great area - near the Botanical Garden, with a shop, market, and polyclinic nearby," the veteran, who recently moved into her new home, did not hide her joy.
Elena Semenovna received her draft notice to the front on June 22, 1941. Until the end of the war, she served diligently in field hospitals, evacuating the wounded from the front lines. For her military feat, she was awarded orders and medals. As a medic, she particularly noted the work of her colleagues in the dispensary monitoring the health of veterans.
