The Thai side showed interest in the capabilities of the Vitebsk airport

The Thai side has shown interest in the capabilities of the Vitebsk airport. This was reported to journalists by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev, following a meeting between an official parliamentary delegation from Thailand and the leadership of the Vitebsk region and city.

As the chairman of the regional council noted, among the issues hindering the development of ties between Belarus and Thailand is the absence of direct flights. "One of the goals pursued by our Thai friends is the study of logistics. And first and foremost, they are interested in the capabilities of our Vitebsk airport," Vladimir Terentyev said.

"Thailand is also showing interest in Vitebsk alcoholic beverages. The first trial batch has already been sent to Thailand, and the partners are satisfied with both the quality and the price. Therefore, we hope that we will see significant progress in this area," he noted. Among the goods promising for trade with Thailand, Vladimir Terentyev named linen products, pipe products, and woodworking products. "I think this visit will form the basis for the development of economic ties between our region and Thailand," the chairman of the regional council summarized. The parliamentary delegation of Thailand is visiting Belarus from June 25-29. Today in Vitebsk, which is celebrating another anniversary of liberation during the Great Patriotic War, the guests laid flowers at the monument on Victory Square, went on excursions, and also visited OJSC "Vitebsk Distillery "Pridvinye".
