The tandem of power and business was discussed at a meeting between the leadership of the Glubokoye district and representatives of the local business elite

Тандем власти и бизнеса обсуждали на встрече руководства Глубокского района с представителями местной бизнес-элиты
The leadership of the Glubokoye district initiated a meeting with members of the district's entrepreneurship development council. What issues currently concern representatives of the local business elite and those who are just planning to start their own business, and in the implementation of which promising ideas is the help of the authorities needed? These and many other questions were raised during a constructive dialogue.

The Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Alexander Shubsky, emphasized that private business occupies a special place in the region's economy, playing a significant role in the social life of the population, contributing to the formation of a competitive environment, the development of the service sector, and the creation of new jobs.

In January-June of this year alone, 66 new individual entrepreneurs were registered, and in total, there are over 800 of them in the district. In addition, there are 200 small businesses (commercial organizations with up to 100 employees), including 158 private organizations. Private enterprises sell their products not only within the district and region but also abroad, gradually expanding the geography of their export supplies.

By the way, the share of taxes and fees from commercial organizations and individual entrepreneurs in the local budget last year was 27.3%, and in the first half of 2019, it was 25.5%. In most cases, they are engaged in trade and services, with fewer entities involved in production activities.

Strengthening the dialogue between the authorities and business is a necessary condition for the socio-economic development of the lake region. In response to a question about further prospects, Alexander Shubsky stated that, as before, the focus will be on attracting investments to the district, including foreign ones, and increasing the efficiency of agricultural organizations and industrial enterprises. The development of entrepreneurial activity, as well as social and domestic issues, will not be overlooked, such as laying a water pipeline to one of the settlements, repairing the roofs of residential buildings, and creating a sports ground in the urban settlement of Podsvilye.

The safety of children on the roads is a concern for many, especially with the new school year approaching. Will the children carefully observe the traffic rules, particularly in areas without sidewalks or where they are in need of repair? Entrepreneurs from Glubokoe, who have repeatedly participated in the improvement of settlements and the "Gift to the City" campaign, have once again volunteered to help, specifically by purchasing necessary construction materials.

At the request of Alexander Shubsky, representatives of departments, services of the district executive committee, and the State Automobile Inspectorate conducted a rapid monitoring of streets adjacent to educational institutions and kindergartens, calculated the scope of work, timelines, and feasibility of their completion, taking into account cost reduction. All these figures will be announced at the next meeting with entrepreneurs.

– Glubokoe is a beautiful region, and I thank everyone who has contributed to its glory for many decades and remains committed to addressing important issues related to the city's improvement and the enhancement of its infrastructure, – noted Alexander Shubsky.

Dmitry Yakimovich, the owner of the "Usadba Yakimovich" hotel, one of the first to support the idea of sidewalk construction, recalled the unfinished construction of a pedestrian path section along Lake Kagalnoye. This issue could also be resolved through joint efforts.

– Alexander Shubsky has been the head of the district executive committee for only a few weeks, so it is gratifying that he considered it necessary to hold a meeting with local entrepreneurs among the most important tasks, – emphasized Fyodor Ganebny, director of Private Unitary Enterprise for Services "Disenochka". – This means he believes in our capabilities and respects our work. In turn, we are also ready to help.

The tandem of government and business provides an opportunity to solve many issues, believes Yuri Tatarinovich, director of Private Unitary Enterprise for Services "V azhure".

In a conversation with Alexander Shubsky, he expressed his opinion on the insufficiency of a unified architectural style that would integrate elements of street decor and decorative sculptural compositions in Glubokoe. The entrepreneur also presented a number of other interesting ideas.

Several years ago, the Glubokoye district was named the best for business among the regions of Vitebsk Oblast with a population of less than 50,000 people. The leadership expresses confidence that the interaction between authorities and business will continue to be fruitful and effective.
