Housing and utility tariffs in Belarus are planned to be increased by the end of the year

July 10, Minsk / Liliya Krapivina - BELTA /. Tariffs for housing and communal services in Belarus are planned to be increased by the end of 2012, Deputy Minister of Housing and Communal Services Anatoly Shagun told reporters today, BELTA correspondent reports. The government has determined the tariff policy for 2012, calculating a price increase of $5 for a standard two-room apartment with three residents. This year, housing and communal services tariffs have already been increased in April and from June 1. They rose by $2.5, of which $1.3 is for the housing and communal services system (water, sewerage), and $1.2 is for the energy system. Based on this, it can be determined that an increase in tariffs for housing and communal services should be expected in the same range by the end of the year, Anatoly Shagun noted. At the same time, he did not name specific deadlines for the possible increase. The Deputy Minister also reported that under the tariffs in effect since June 1, the reimbursement of costs by the population for housing and communal services averages 15%. Electricity and gas are not included in this indicator, he clarified. -0-
