The 'Theater Meetings-2013' and the 'Slavianski Bazaar' film program will be held on a self-financing basis
"The theatre and film projects are self-financing this year and are being held, where possible, without attracting budget funds. To return the funds spent on their organization to the festival's treasury, a selection of the proposed performances and films was carried out when forming the programs," said Alexander Sidorenko.
"Theatre Meetings-2013" includes six productions that will be staged at the Vitebsk Concert Hall and the Yanka Kupala National Academic Drama Theatre. Such famous actors as Maxim Averin, Olga Avilova, Dmitry Maryanov, Daria Poverennova, Grigory Antipenko, Tatiana Arntgolts, and Alexey Matoshin are involved in the performances. The project's popularity is so high that tickets for the productions are sold out within the first days of sales. This year was no exception.
"The Festival Film Program" will traditionally take place at the House of Cinema and will include four films: "Legend No. 17," "Men's Women's Game," "Daughter" (Russia), and the film "Apostle's Traces" (Belarus), a joint production of UP "National Film Studio "Belarusfilm," LLC "First Film Video Company," and CJSC "Second National TV Channel." "The filmmakers and actors are invited to present them, but it is too early to say who exactly will be able to come. We hope that this project will also attract the deserved attention of the audience," said Alexander Sidorenko.
The XXII International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held from July 11 to 15.
