"Vityaz" televisions recognized as product of the year at a prestigious exhibition in Moscow

Vitebsk-based RUPP "Vityaz" televisions have been recognized as Product of the Year at a prestigious exhibition in Moscow, Deputy Head of the Marketing and Sales Department Sergey Gukov told a BELTA correspondent. The HDI-Show-2009 international exhibition brought together major manufacturers from all over Eastern Europe in Moscow, including such well-known companies as BBK, Sony, Funai, and others. The leading Belarusian enterprise for the production of television equipment, "Vityaz," also presented its new products at the prestigious forum. Visitors and participants of the exhibition highly appreciated its latest models of LCD panels, LCD televisions in colored and glossy casings, DVD players, and tuners for converting digital and analog signals. In addition, the exclusive model 26 LCD 831-3 in a wooden casing from the Retro line, which participated in the "Product of the Year-2009" competition, became the winner in the "audio and video equipment" nomination, confirming the wide popularity and demand for television equipment from the Vitebsk television plant in the Russian market. Sergey Gukov noted that the enterprise is constantly working on updating and developing its entire product range. For example, in February, the home appliance line was expanded with a range of six models of electric irons. The model range of LCD televisions is being expanded. Microwave ovens are being prepared for release. According to the results of the first quarter, the share of new types of products in the total production volume was 23%. The plant operates profitably and at full capacity. The enterprise was founded in 1976. It specializes in the production of televisions. It also produces fire-fighting equipment, medical equipment, furniture, and building materials. Almost all components for the products are manufactured at the plant.
