This sharp statement was made today at a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee by its chairman Alexander Kosinets, BELTA correspondent reports. According to the governor, the enterprise has lagged behind in development: new import-substituting types of household appliances are not being mastered. "The enterprise still produces cathode-ray tube televisions, while global manufacturers have long moved forward," Alexander Kosinets stated. At the same time, the TV plant is capable of mastering the production of new generation equipment. "Without attracting intellectual investment, the enterprise cannot do without it in the current situation. 'Vityaz' needs to establish cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the National Academy of Sciences," Alexander Kosinets emphasized. The enterprise was founded in 1976. RUPP "Vityaz" specializes in the production of television, fire and household appliances, medical equipment, furniture, and building materials. Based on the results of work for 10 months, the volume of commodity production at the enterprise amounted to 82.2% of last year's level. 38 thousand televisions have accumulated in the warehouse. Since the beginning of the year, the enterprise has mastered the production of several new types of products: electric kettles, irons, microphones, microwave ovens. -0-
