Thematic job fairs have begun to be held in Vitebsk for those wishing to find work in a specific sector, the Deputy Head of the Department of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, Marina Budkevich, told a BELTA correspondent.

"We conduct a constant analysis, and if we see a large number of vacancies in a certain industry, we organize fairs with specific enterprises. Meetings of job seekers with organizations in the construction, trade, transport, and light industry sectors have already taken place in the city. Depending on the demand, we will plan similar events in the future," noted Marina Budkevich.

According to the specialist, at thematic job fairs, people are more focused on choosing a profession, and employers can pay more attention to job seekers. "In the future, we may start practicing targeted open days at one enterprise to increase employment efficiency," she added.
