Heating of residential buildings in the Vitebsk region will begin on October 7, Anatoly Sudak, head of the production and technical department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's housing and communal services department, told a BELTA correspondent. For the past five days, the average daily air temperature in the region has been below eight degrees Celsius, so today it was decided to supply heat to residential buildings. At the same time, due to the impossibility of injecting a huge amount of water into the network simultaneously, this process will take three days. Schedules for turning on heating are already being developed in the housing and maintenance departments. Each house should be heated by the upcoming weekend, then for one to two weeks the heating systems will be adjusted, and bleeding of heating systems will be carried out upon citizens' requests. All heat sources in the region are ready for operation, so their connection should proceed without disruptions or delays, Anatoly Sudak added. -0-
