The motor ship "Vitebsk" from Pinsk set off on a voyage along the highways to Vitebsk

The passenger motor ship "Vitebsk" was launched from the slipway of the Pinsk Shipyard and Ship Repair Plant directly onto a truck today, the republican unitary enterprise "Pinsk Order of the Badge of Honor Shipyard and Ship Repair Plant" informed a BELTA correspondent. With the help of jacks and special equipment, the vessel was loaded and secured on the truck for almost 4 hours. The 45-ton motor ship will have to travel over 600 km by road before it is solemnly launched into the waters of the Western Dvina in Vitebsk. When developing the route, the carrier had to take into account that the overall height of the vessel is 5.7 m, length - 25.5 m, width - 5.5 m, so the motor ship will not travel along the route familiar to motorists. As expected, the journey will take at least two days. The passenger motor ship "Vitebsk" is the third one built in Pinsk since 2006, but the first of project 95100. Its difference from the two previous ones is a smaller draft - it is 0.55 m. The motor ship is designed for navigation on small and shallow rivers and belongs to the light class. In Vitebsk, the vessel will operate as a tourist boat on the Western Dvina within the city limits. Up to 50 passengers can be on board simultaneously. They will be accommodated in the bow and stern.
