The machinery in the farms of the Vitebsk region is ready for the spring field work

The amount of prepared machinery in the farms of Vitebsk region is sufficient for carrying out spring field work. This was reported to a correspondent of "Vitebskiye vesti" by Mikhail Pridibaylo, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Agriculture and Food Committee.

Despite financial difficulties and a shortage of working capital, almost a thousand high-power tractors, 1400 plows, over 660 combined tillage and seeding units, and other machinery have been prepared for work.

At the request of the region's leadership, plowing will be carried out in three shifts, and soil preparation – in at least two. The shortage of machine operator personnel is compensated by internal transfers within farms, assistance from urban enterprises, and educational institutions.

For sowing operations, 8.2 thousand tons of fuel have been allocated by order of the President of Belarus with deferred payment. This assistance will cover approximately 67% of the work volume.

In conditions of fuel shortage, special attention should be paid to the proper organization of work, machine adjustment, and a rational approach to performing technological operations.
