Tolochin Cannery will allocate Br30 billion for the construction of a juice bottling workshop

August 3, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. RUP "Tolochinsky Cannery" will allocate Br30 billion for the construction of a juice bottling workshop, the enterprise director Anatoly Anyukhovsky informed a BELTA correspondent.

The enterprise intends to implement the project for organizing juice bottling and pasteurization in 2011-2012. The design and estimate documentation for it is currently undergoing expert review. Construction of the new facility is planned to commence in the autumn. It is expected that the workshop's capacity will be 4 tons per hour. "However, the actual production volume will be regulated by market demand," the head noted.

The range of juices will delight consumers with its variety. Part of the raw materials for their production will be grown by the enterprise itself: the clean area of the plant's fruit and berry lands is 550 hectares (total - 650 hectares). Raspberries, black and red currants, gooseberries, chokeberries, cherries, apple trees, and pear trees grow here. The enterprise intends to purchase raw materials for the production of juices from tropical fruits.

A significant project for Tolochinsky Cannery is the construction of a potato storage facility for storing 12 thousand tons of potatoes in bulk. Its commissioning will allow the enterprise to fully ensure the preservation of the potato harvest. The facility is planned to be opened this month.

The plant's plans for the coming years include the technical re-equipment of the starch workshop and the construction of a workshop for freezing, cooling, packaging, and boxing berries, vegetables, potatoes, and mushrooms.

In the first half of the year, the enterprise produced products worth Br12.3 billion, which is 116.4% of the level of the same period last year. Sales profitability was 13.6%, and the energy saving indicator was minus 10%. Starch and fermented alcohol juice worth $451 thousand were exported to Russia, which is almost three times higher than the figure for January-June 2010.

Toločinskij cannery is a budget-forming enterprise of the district. It specializes in the production of fruit and grape wines, potato starch, pasta products, and crop cultivation. The total number of employees is about 450 people. The enterprise's own raw material base includes over 4.5 thousand hectares of land.-0-
