Vitebsk region trade facilities will join the "Healthy Heart - Vector of Life" campaign
In some retail outlets of the Vitebsk region, "reception points" will operate on November 12-13 to identify circulatory problems as part of the republican medical and educational campaign "Healthy Heart - Vector of Life". This was announced by Elena Kuznetsova, acting chief physician of the regional cardiology dispensary, at a press conference on the topic of cardiovascular disease prevention.
Points for examining residents of the region to identify risk factors and circulatory system diseases with health strengthening recommendations will be open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM not only in hospitals and polyclinics, rural health posts, pharmacies, and other institutions, but also in department stores, hypermarkets, and shops. For example, in Vitebsk, blood pressure, height, and weight measurement points will operate in the "Evikom" shopping center, in the "Vesta" store in the town of Ruba, at the main post office, in pharmacies No. 31, 128, 164, 171, at the health centers of enterprises (dairy plant, meat processing plant, tractor parts plant, carpet combine, "Monolit", "Vitebskdrev", "Keramika"), and in polyclinics. In addition, participants of the campaign will be able to receive a coupon at these points. Upon presentation of this coupon at the regional cardiology dispensary or any outpatient polyclinic institution in the region, it will be possible to see a cardiologist and a general practitioner without an appointment. A hotline will operate at the regional cardiology dispensary during the campaign days from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the phone number: 52-69-27.
Other campaign events include media appearances by general practitioners, cardiologists, and geriatricians from healthcare organizations in the region; round table discussions on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment options for cardiovascular diseases; the creation of stands; and the distribution of health tips and brochures on a healthy lifestyle.
