A solemn event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of trade bodies is taking place in Vitebsk
Nina Emelyanova, Deputy Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus, addressed the honorees. For exemplary performance of official duties, significant personal contribution to the development of the trade sector, in connection with the professional holiday – Trade Workers' Day, and in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the trade bodies of Belarus, she presented jubilee medals "100 years to the trade bodies of Belarus" and souvenir silver coins "100 years to the trade bodies".
Nina Emelyanova, Deputy Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus:
– On behalf of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, we have come to Vitebsk today for a festive event to congratulate trade workers and veterans on their professional holiday. This year we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of trade bodies, and I am pleased to note that in such a significant year, the Vitebsk region (specifically the trade sector) ranks first among other regions in terms of the share of sales of domestically produced goods. It is very important for us to promote goods produced in our country. The main tasks currently facing trade are to increase the share of domestically produced goods sold through stores, to control prices (fair pricing is paramount), and to improve the quality of public services. On the eve of the professional holiday, I would like to wish all employees and workers of trade organizations further professional success, grateful customers, health, and peaceful skies above their heads.
Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin:
– For millennia, trade has been the main driver of economic development, the main mechanism that formed countries and changed their landscapes. That is, we always talk about trade routes, the main trade routes from the Varangians to the Greeks, the Great Silk Road. Where people traded, settlements, cities, countries, empires appeared, and life flourished. And now, in 2024, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the trade system, which has slowly but surely evolved from the Soviet system to the Belarusian system, preserving all the best and acquiring new, innovative, and promising aspects. I congratulate you on this wonderful holiday, on the anniversary! I wish everyone health and peaceful skies. May you be happy both at work and at home. May everything around you be in positive tones.
Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Anzhelika Nikitina:
– Dear employees and veterans of trade organizations, please allow me to thank you for this challenging work. I wish you good health, well-being, peace and kindness, good income, optimism in life, patience, new customers, and that everything you have planned in your life comes true. May the residents of the Vitebsk region gladly visit our retail outlets and, of course, leave them with new purchases.
Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov:
– Please accept the most sincere congratulations on the centenary of trade organizations, – said the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov. – The trade sector is one of the most important in the socio-economic development of our country. The trade system has undergone significant changes in recent decades. Virtual trade is now actively promoted. Perhaps, if we were told 30 years ago how trade is organized now, we would probably think it was science fiction. Technological progress is changing our lifestyle, including products. Nevertheless, no matter what innovations are introduced, much still depends on the warmth and politeness of the salesperson, on the knowledge of the merchandiser and other employees. I wish all our trade enterprises and teams successful work. May you always be satisfied with your work.
